The “Regional Museum of Vigezzo Immigration in the World” was established by regional law 29, April 2011, no. 6. With an aim to preserve memory, the museum promotes knowledge of migratory phenomena in the Piedmont region, with particular reference to the Vigezzo Valley.
The primary aims of the museum are to: - find and preserve documentary, photographic, and local testimonials to be kept in a dedicated Documentation Center;
- promote initiatives aimed at citizen participation, such as recurring events, conferences, readings, film clubs, presentations of the “Museum’s Notebooks”, travelling exhibits, and international meetings;
- support the organization of the International Chimney Sweep Meeting, and events that celebrate the invention of Cologne Water.
